a new cooking day....crepes....

i want to propose a new cooking class at my house...just like we did last year the chocolate mousse, or the pasta at the house of lina , or cookies at the house of regina, or dumplings with yi rung

i would like to propose something simple ...that we will be able to eat afterwards...

crepes..... or panckes like they say here
i propose to present you my recipe( VERY easy to realize ) but it would be fun if another member came with the recipe of her country....like the crepes from Brittany in france or the american pancakes ...or something else...

i'm open to any suggestion..

i propose to organize that probably in the week of 10 to 14 of november but i'll have to confirm( it depends on the treatment for my daughter)...

for the member without car , we can always organize carpooling or pick you uo somewhere...it is not a good excuse Smile

i hope that some members will be interested
please react on the forum...we need you to make of the IWAP an active and interesting group!!!
let's spread the info...because not everybody use the forum!!!

I love crepes, so I hope it will be before the 13th as I'm going to New York again on the 13th for my Herbal Association Retreat in Massacheucette (sp).

We did this once when I was posted in the Gaza - friends who came brought different fillings from their countries - it was a great success - as good food, good company and good conversation always is.

not a lot of people responded...so i don't know what i will do....
this friday i have to leave at 11.30 but if you want to come before that i could teach you the belgian crepes....
another possibility is that we do a new presentation of the frum at one of the iwap meeting and speak abt the activities we can propose....and i could propose a later day.....
if you find somebody else for friday morning for ex from 9.30 to 11.30 for me it is ok...anyway....

hello ladies,

finally a bit time to answer on the forum. i would like to join the crepe making and i am really sorry that i missed the dinner and all the other activities. i had a lot of teeth problems but that is over now, hopefully! so ready for new adventures! i will try to come next thursday to the meeting again.

after speaking to a few ones today i will propose for the crepes day...dec 5th or dec 12th....fridays because shu chuan (the first who really reacted) can only on fridays
it would be at my house ( for the ones who never came i'll send the address and the directions)
from 9.30/10.00 to max 2.30 ( I have 3 children....and they need me also sometimes Smile

)
we would cook/bake crepes...i have my simple recipe but you should come with a recipe from yr country too( and the ingredients) ....and i would ask you to bring something to fill the crepes we will eat for lunch...salty or sweet...cold or warm...spicy or not...like you want/prefer
and of course you would have to bring your good mood.....the most important ingredient of the day!!! Very Happy

tell me if you prefer the 5th or the 12th
remember that we have a cooking class(cookies exchange ) on dec 3rd !!!( see katherine earl for this cooking class)

I would like to join. Both days are fine to me but Dec. 5 is much better because Dec. 12 is close to the day I leave Pittsburgh.

so sorry that you leave....

i believe i'll choose december 12th because the week before we'll have on dec 3rd(wed) cookies exchange, dec 4th (thursday) the craft day/wreaths ...so if we do on the friday the crepes....it will be a little bit too much maybe for the same week

so ladies...note it will be dec.12th!!!

we have to be a lot.....because it will be also a kind of farewell party for Yi Rung!!!!
